Our Story

Powder Hound was born on the snowy slopes of Montana.
When our family went skiing, the kids wanted hot chocolate. But their mom, Andrea—born and raised in Colombia—didn't want her niños drinking sugar bombs.
Growing up in Bogotá, Andrea's mom prepared natural, not-too-sweet hot chocolate every morning for breakfast. No weird additives, no strange chemicals, just quality ingredients, prepared the same way for generations.
So Andrea crafted a custom mix using less sugar, ethically sourced South American cacao, and natural ingredients. It was buenísimo!
Our kids loved the flavor, we loved the ingredients. Before long, friends were asking for our recipe. Realizing we had something special, we started Powder Hound Hot Chocolate.
Our goal is to bring the authentic flavor of natural, ethically sourced South American cacao to hot chocolate lovers on the slopes — and everywhere else.
